Fentech Agri at LAMMA 2025: Showcasing Innovation in Agriculture

Fentech Agri returned to the LAMMA 2025 agricultural machinery show on January 15th and 16th with a range of new and innovative products. The stand featured the latest generation of drills, including the TS-480AP-2, a dual-product arable drill, and the TSG300SP, a pneumatic grass drill with a 1,100-litre hopper. Both new variants address the need for greater capacity, output, and versatility in modern agriculture.

Advanced Drilling Solutions for Greater Efficiency

These drills give farms the flexibility to apply multiple products with the dual-product machine or a single product more reliably and accurately using the 300SP’s pneumatic seeding system. A larger hopper capacity also improves efficiency.

Phoenix: High-Speed Straw, Weed, and Pest Management

The Phoenix, a mounted high-speed straw, weed, and pest management tool, also made its debut. It features a MAXLIFE rake tine from Bourgault Tillage Tools, which disturbs the top 30-50mm of organic matter and soil. Arranged in four banks to aid trash flow, the tines run near vertical in operation, creating a vibrating action that forms a tilth for weed seeds, breaks down residual harvest debris, and reduces slug populations. A hydraulically adjustable rear tyre packer controls the tines’ operating height and consolidates the worked ground, ensuring superior seed-to-soil contact and a more even flush of weed seed—something a traditional straw harrow cannot achieve. Many visitors interested in improving weed management and sustainable soil preparation took a keen interest in the Phoenix.

Tremor: Low-Disturbance Subsoiling for Better Soil Health

The Tremor low-disturbance subsoiler, released late last year, also appeared at the stand. With a heavy-duty frame and a choice of DD, toothed, or rubber-tyred rollers, the Tremor accommodates the full range of NG subsoiler legs from wear parts specialist JJ Metcalfes. The 3-metre variant on display featured seven NG Option 1 legs spaced at 450mm, though spacing can be adjusted based on soil type and working depth. Farmers and industry professionals engaged in technical discussions on how the tine lifts and drops the soil profile for optimal restructuring.

Weedswiper: Targeted Weed Control Without Drift

Fentech Agri also introduced the Weedswiper, a compact, no-drift, contact herbicide applicator. It utilizes a canvas mat with integrated moisture monitoring to enable precise top-ups as needed, minimizing drips and herbicide waste. The system includes a manually folding 6m frame, pump, tanks, and application canvas. Beyond traditional weed wiping, it has potential applications in vine systems where drift poses a risk. Trials this year will explore its effectiveness for blackgrass control, particularly in fields where the weed’s height closely matches the crop. By targeting specific areas, this tool could provide a highly effective reduction method.

The Tremor is a versatile, durable subsoiler that provides precise soil restructuring with adjustable depths, easy maintenance, and road-compliant, compact models for efficient operation.
