TSG - 240 - GRASS DRILL
The TSG range of drills are primarily targeted at grass and small seed establishment into pasture, however, they are capable of sowing any size of seed into low trash conditions including arable land. The TSG-240 is the smallest drill in the TSG range, offering a compact solution for farms with low HP tractors. 16 rows of 25mm spring tine coulters put the seed into the favourable T-slot environment for excellent germination and growth. With a 410L hopper, the TSG-240 is ideal for small seed and grass sowing, and if required light arable work. Manual but simple depth control makes setting the drilling depth simple and quick. Calibration is via a simple procedure of rotating the drive wheel and weighing the product, giving consistent seeding throughout.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Both our sponge metering system and pneumatic options are particularly suited to seed mixes. The sponge metering system used on the mechanical drills can conform to any size and shape of seed making them particularly effective for pre-mixed seed. The pneumatic options include split hoppers and dual distribution heads, allowing for not only straight seed mixes but also interrow cropping and companion cropping.
The T-boot coulter point is particular suited to dry conditions, pulling into the hardest ground. The vibrating action of the tine also generates tilth in the slot and gives the seed to soil contact necessary for germination, especially when there is a lack of moisture, the glass house like environment in the inverted T-slot draws moisture up via capillary action giving seed the best possible start in less than ideal conditions.
The simplicity of the seeders is particularly suited to running in wet conditions, the depth control is on a spring flex roller instead of tyres (on the arable models) which enables better carrying capacity of the weight especially in direct into stubble situations. With a high frame to ground clearance, and heaps of space for trash and soil flow through the machine, blockages are rare. In situations where the soil is particularly sticky, scraper options are available for the depth roller to prevent blocking up. Wet weather options are also available utilising rubber tyre rollers.
The leading disc on all our models allows for easy seeding into cover crops, even up to 1m tall. This not only helps lay the crop in the direction of travel, but also slices through the residue creating a clear path for the tines. Fentech Agri also offers a range of crimper rollers to front mount on the tractor for particularly thick covers, the blades can be interchanged for sharp blades which will help terminate the crop at the same time.
Our seeders are all in the most part FETF compliant depending on the regulations of that particular year. We are a fast moving and innovative business which can make changes in the designs quickly to comply with change in regulations.
In the seeders they range from the smallest at 2.4m up to the widest of 6m, with front tank options available. The subsoilers range from 3m (7 leg) up to 4.5m (9 leg) currently. Top tilth stale seedbed cultivators range from 6m up to 12m trailed.
We pride ourselves of being direct to customer, removing the confusion sometimes caused by dealers who aren’t focussed on this product alone. We have on the road service available at all times however, due to the simplicity and robustness of the machinery, breakdowns are rare and most things can be fixed over the phone, where support is available 24/7.
